Smith and Sons Electric has partnered in the Restoration and Renovation of numerous construction projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have found these projects to be challenging, but personally rewarding, challenging because of the existing environment for construction, but rewarding as we preserve buildings of significant historical importance in our communities.

Project Description:
The Renovation and Restoration of a 4-story early 1900s building in the City of Oakland was remodeled for both Alameda County and the California Trial Lawyers Association. Smith and Sons Electric was responsible for the electrical installation associated with the complete interior demolition, seismic upgrade and renovation of this facility.

Project Description: Amdal is a leader in the High Tech field contracted for the construction of a state of the art computer room at their Sunnyvale facility. Smith and Sons Electric as a member of the construction team remodeled the existing facility into a state of the art computer center, complete with Raised Computer Floors, New Electrical Switchgear, Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS), and complete Fire Suppression Systems.

Project Description:
Physics International facility located in San Leandro is dedicated to the extreme testing of satellite and aeronautical components. Smith and Sons Electric was responsible for the remodel of over 75,000 square feet of office and testing facilities. This project required extensive scheduling due to the multi-phasing of the project and the continued use by Physics International. Further complicating the project was the many owner requested changes and a completion schedule that had to be met.
