Administrative/Accounting Assistant

 

Established mid-sized Electrical Contractor is seeking a qualified individual to fill our administrative/accounting assistant position.

 

Location: Fremont, CA

Responsible To: Controller

Hours: Full-Time, but would consider Part-Time

 

Requirements:

  1. Accounts payable experience

  2. Construction accounting/administration experience is a plus

  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office

  4. Certified payroll experience is preferred

  5. Experience in Viewpoint-ProContractor accounting software is a plus

  6. Personable, approachable with a positive attitude

  7. Able to exercise good judgment by recognizing urgency & setting priorities

  8. Strong time management skills, organizational skills, attention to detail & a high level of accuracy

  9. High school diploma or equivalent

  10. Be available for 2 interviews

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts payable data entry

  2. Certified payroll

  3. Submit prequalification packages to school districts and cities

  4. Incoming and outgoing mail

  5. Answer phones

  6. Pickup lunch for the office

  7. Greet clients & visitors

  8. Support Controller/Accounting Manager as needed

  9. Perform various administrative duties (i.e. typing, filing, tracking purchases, etc.)
